This is the introduction visit reviews a diabetic meal plan and teaches how to enjoy food and prevent the risk of blindness, limb amputation and kidney failure. The dietitian will review your labs and doctor's orders and create a plan for you to lowering your Hgb A1C by your next doctor's appointment and the long term goal to reduce your medications.
